Tutoring with Lighthouse Academy
One-to-one, or small groups of never more than five. British-qualified teachers, online and across Doha.
Tutoring that does not evaporate
Most tutoring ends when the hour ends. Here, every session feeds your child’s Talent Development profile — one picture of their thinking, their schoolwork, how they learn and where they are heading, growing term on term.
- They learn — an hour with a subject teacher, in a group placed at their level or one-to-one.
- They reflect — two minutes after each session, in their own words.
- It adds up — their teacher adds the work as evidence, and the profile sharpens all year.
What it costs
The same British-qualified teachers either way. Choose a small group of no more than five, or the whole hour to yourself.
Never more than five pupils, placed around where your child actually is — not just their year group. A place is kept with a 10 or 20 session package; the single session is a taster.

Questions parents ask
When does my child start?
Groups start once three families at a similar level line up — we confirm the day and time before anything is paid. One-to-one starts as soon as we match a teacher.
Who will teach them?
British-qualified subject teachers. No one is offered work with us until their vetting is cleared and they have signed our Safeguarding Code. You can meet them here before you decide.
How do you choose the right group?
By where your child actually is — their profile and a short thinking snapshot, not just their year group. If the fit is wrong, we move them.
What if we need to stop?
Move any session with 24 hours’ notice. Stop a package part-way and up to 70% of unused sessions may be refunded, with 30% retained.
Online or in person?
Groups run online. One-to-one is online or a home visit across Doha — in-person costs a little more and we will quote it.
How do we see progress?
Your child’s profile shows every session, their reflections and their teacher’s notes — and family access lets you follow along.
